The Asociación de Recicladores de Bogotá (ARB) is comprised of 25 waste picker groups representing 2500 people. Since 1990 ARB has been defending the rights of waste pickers. It has achieved an impressive level of organization in Bogota, and currently negotiates contracts with the private and public sectors.
