Informe sobre derechos humanos de trabajadores voluntarios de limpia en la CDMX

Workers in the informal economy from six different sectors. A Domestic Worker, a Garment Worker, a Home-Based Worker, a Street Vendors / Market Trader, a Transport Worker, and a Waste Picker.

Mexico City

In May 2019, research findings on the human rights situation of waste pickers in Mexico City were released and discussed at a press conference. Tania Espinosa, WIEGO Focal City CDMX Coordinator, presented a WIEGO report on this research.

This was a joint partnership with Mexico City’s Human Rights Commission (Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Distrito Federal – CDHDF). The event was hosted by the president of CDHDF, Nashieli Ramirez.
