Challenges of informal employment in Mexico City

The Round Table "Informal Employment in Mexico City: Challenges and Perspectives 2017" was organized on February 16, 2017 as part of the activities of Focal Cities. The event was attended by different experts, academics, officials and workers in the informal economy.

 

Ms Berenice Ramírez López, Academic Secretary of the Economic Research Institute of the UNAM began with the presentation "Challenges of informal employment in Mexico City" and the previous work of WIEGO in Mexico. This presentation opened an exchange of perspectives on the current panorama and challenges related to informal employment in Mexico City.

 

The knowledge and experience of all the participants greatly enriched the conversation.
