C 87, Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize, 1948

This Convention is part of the ILO's eight core Conventions. It provides workers and employers with the right to establish and join organisations of their own choosing, subject to the rules of the organisation . It further provides that an organisation means any organisation of workers or of employers for furthering and defending the interests of workers or of employers.
