C189 Domestic Workers Convention 2011

This Convention provides for decent work for domestic workers. It provides a definition of domestic work. It further provides that member states should establish measures to ensure effective promotion and protection of human rights for all domestic workers. It accords protection of domestic workers against abuse, harassment and violence. It also provides for fair terms of employment, decent living and privacy. It also provides protection for migrant domestic workers.
