This policy covers the different types of informal trading that take place within the Ekurhuleni Municipal area such as (Street / kerbside trading, trading in pedestrian malls, Markets- flea & craft markets, special markets, Transport interchanges, trading in Public Open Spaces and Park, Mobile traders (Roving, Caravans, Motor Vehicles), Newspapers Vendors at intersection and Special Events) and aims at creating a favourable economic environment that recognises informal and street trading as legitimate expression of business and economic activities.
