A Step Towards Home
In a initiative to refurbish the often cramped, dimly illuminated and inconvenient homes of waste pickers, KKPKP began a small initiative in Pune involving young architects to design brighter and more functional homes. These homes are reconstructed using recyclable household furnishings that the middle classes dispose of — a fitting tribute for waste pickers who themselves contribute the recycling system.
