The idea for this booklet came out of the Asia Social Protection Dialogue, held in Bangkok in April 2004, organized by WIEGO and Homenet Thailand, and funded by Ford Foundation China.

 

Participants in the Dialogue included informal workers, trade unionists, activists, researchers and government officials from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
