ILC 2016: Sonia George on the Importance of Supporting Informal Livelihoods in Supply Chains

At the International Labour Conference in 2016, Sonia George of SEWA spoke during the Worker's Group Meeting for the Discussion on Decent Work in Global Supply Chains on behalf of the WIEGO Delegation. She stressed that existing informal livelihoods should be preserved during any regulation process of global supply chains. She also highlighted that homeworkers, who often work for piece rates should also be included in discussions on minimum or living wages.
