VIDEO: ILC 2016: Zehra Khan Speaks on Homeworker Issues During the Plenary Session

During the International Labour Conference 2016, Zehra Khan of the Home-Based Women Workers Federation of Pakistan speaks on behalf of the WIEGO Network during the ILC plenary session.

 

Zehra highlights the main challenges of homeworkers operating at the base of global supply chains and why they should be recognized as workers. She also underlined the importance of ILO Convention 177 on Home Work to realizing rights of homeworkers.
