The HomeNet South East Asia (HNSEA) Assembly and workshop in Bangkok took place on October 9th and 11th 2017.

The event had several objectives, such as to receive and share country reports on the activities of HNSEA affiliates; to learn negotiation skills and about the WIEGO child care campaign; to plan how HNSEA and its affiliates could participate in the campaign; to learn about ILO Convention 177 and Recommendation 204; and to discuss how we should push for implementation in South East Asia.

WIEGO’s Director of the Organization and Representation Programme, Jane Barrett, as well as the Programme Strategy Advisor, Rhonda Douglas, the Bangkok Focal City Coordinator, Sarah Reed, and WIEGO’s copy editor Megan MacLeod also attended the event.
