The UN Secretary General’s High-level Panel (UN SGHLP) for Women’s Economic Empowerment met for the second time on July 15th. SEWA National Coordinator and Chair of WIEGO Board Renana Jhabvala represented both organizations on the panel, and attended the July meeting. At the meeting, panelists finalized recommendations for the UN SGHLP report which was released in September of 2016. WIEGO International Coordinator Martha Chen and WIEGO Writer and Research Assistant Jenna Harvey also attended to provide support to Renana.
