According to official estimates, between 2005 and 2010, informal employment fell from 58,6% to 47,9% as a proportion of total non-agricultural employment, in particular, as a result of reforms in the social security system expanding health care coverage. Maintaining high growth rates, in addition to reducing production heterogeneity to favour increased creation of formal employment, and continuing with institutional reforms undertaken would ensure future consolidation and expansion of these achievements.
