Precarious Migrant Status and Precarious Employment: The Paradox of International Rights for Migrant Workers

Discusses the challenges of using international law to protect the rights of precariously-employed migrant workers.  The author concludes that a major challenge of using international law is its emphasis on the state as sovereign, which often precludes international intervention that effectively protects the rights of migrants on temporary work authorization visas.
