Addressing Informality, Reducing PovertyPoverty in Focus

There is increasing recognition that decent and productive employment is an essential pathway to poverty reduction. Most of the working poor are engaged in the informal economy where earnings tend to be low and economic risks tend to be high: making it hard for the working poor to work their way out of poverty.
