SEWA Project: Productivity Impact Study
SEWA has for a number of years been involved in the participatory design of work equipment prototypes for various sectors of the informal economy with the aim of both protecting worker's health and improving their productivity.
This is an impact study of prototypes developed for 5 sectors (garment workers, sugarcane farmers, kite workers, embroiderers, and rag pickers). The study also analyses the participatory design process used in the development of the prototypes.
