Equal Times Special Report on the Informal Economy

This special report prepared by Equal Times discusses key provisions of ILO Recommendation 204 on Transitions from the Informal to the Formal Economy Formalizing the Informal Economy and provides case studies of efforts to organize informal workers and improve their living and working conditions through formalization.

 

The report includes case studies which feature the work of WIEGO institutional members Ghana Trades Union Congress, Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA), Confédération Nationale des Travailleurs du Sénégal and Kagad Kach Patra Kashtakari Panchayat (KKPKP).
