Statistics on Informal Employment in Brazil

This brief summarizes statistics on poverty and employment – and, in particular, on urban informal employment – in Brazil.

The statistics are based on analysis of the Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios (PNAD) survey of 2007, conducted by Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística.
