Women and Men Operators of Enterprises in India’s Informal Sector presents a profile of non-agricultural, informal sector (proprietary, sole ownership) enterprises in India. This Statistical Brief examines and compares characteristics, economic contributions, structure and performance of enterprises owned by women and by men. It is based on 67th Round National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) survey of “Un-Incorporated Non-Agricultural Enterprises” (2010-11).
