The in-depth news report explores the privatized separation at source programme in the City of Johannesburg and its impact on waste pickers' livelihoods. Stephen Leeuw (of the Interim Joburg Reclaimers Committee) and Simon Mbata (of SAWPA) are interviewed and provide testimonials on the impact of the program. WIEGO works with both leaders as part of the Waste Integration South Africa (WISA) Project.
