Laura Roca Diaz

Laura (pronouns ella/she/her) holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of the Basque Country and a master’s degree in Neuromarketing from the International University of La Rioja. She has also completed a Gender Studies MA from the University of Sussex, where she explored queer identity and media representation in Spain and was awarded for Highest Overall Performance.She has worked in digital communications in the UK’s charity sector, and prior to that completed a graduate training programme with UN Women’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Panama, working as Campaign and Communications Analyst. Before that she held different positions in diverse sectors ranging from tech to research. Laura is originally from the Basque Country in Northern Spain, but is currently based in the UK – she speaks Basque, Spanish and English. Her interests include feminist/queer theory and activism, strategies to end gender-based violence and migrant’s rights, among others.
