Mexico City
In May 2019, research findings on the human rights situation of waste pickers in Mexico City were released and discussed at a press conference. Tania Espinosa, WIEGO Focal City CDMX Coordinator, presented a WIEGO report on this research.
This was a joint partnership with Mexico City’s Human Rights Commission (Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Distrito Federal - CDHDF). The event was hosted by the president of CDHDF, Nashieli Ramirez.
