Employment Equity Act, 1998

The purpose of this Act is achieve equity in the workplace by promoting equal opportunity and fair treatment in emplpyment through the elimination of undair discrimination and implementing affirmative action measures to redess the disadvantages in employment experienced by designated groups in order to ensure their equitable representaion in all occupational categories and levels in the work force.
