SEWA Federation's experience and recommendations in COVID relief

In this brief document, SEWA Federation discusses the COVID-19 relief provided by the government in India, the challenges and gaps the Federation has observed, and its response, which has included directly distributing relief in Ahmedabad and working with cooperatives within the Federation to help.

Finally, the Federation offers recommendations for improved distribution.

We have seen that the most effective means of  relief distribution is to conduct this in a decentralized manner with local women leaders or aagewans being responsible for this.
